Text på baksida Text på baksida "Glider m. luft", "Completes air propeller for boat", "After 49 years of constant work, Rudoph Schmidt, 80 years old, of Cincinnati, Ohio, perfected the dream of a life-time, a peculiar air propeller which can be sued as easily on a boat as an airplane. With this invention the boat can make 15 miles an hour against a river current and at a great saving of gasoline. Since 1874 Schmidt has been working incessantly and his first air propeller, obtaining its power from a steam engine, propelled a canal boat 130 feet long, carrying 90 persons.
