Text på baksida "Whippet, S.P. #89, one of the finest boats in the American patrol fleet, also one of the speediest. Whippet is 72' long x 12" beam, and is capable of over 28 M.P.H. Her motors are twin 8 cylinder Sterlings totaling 600 H.P. Whippet is owned by Mr. Oliver Gould Jennings, of New York City, and was commanded by his son. She was maintained on patrol duty constantly during the winters of 1917and 1918, and when returned to her owner showed much evidence of having encountered ice floes. Vessels of this type have beautiful interiors, and all requirements for the owner and a party of guests to live aboard. The Julina, a 75' vessel has a speed of 12 knots, the motor being two Model F, heavy duty, 6-cylinder Sterling engines, total 170 H.P. The Gallivant maintains 12 M.P.H with a single 8-cylinder Sterling motor of the heavy duty type. The Gallivant is 55' in length."
