Skrivet på baksidan: In the few extant Swedish ship´s drawings from the early 1700´s the profusely detailed illustration of the over-water hull´s ornamentation, frequently as here nicely tinted, stands in dazzling contrast to the sparse account for the ship´s lines proper, these being marked under the water line by only a profile line and section to a midrib. Did the Admiralty´s master shipwrights then apply the method of "building on one rib"? Drawing of the 70-gun frigate Nordstjernan.
