Text på baksida "Miss Liberty, a standardized cruiser built in quantiy at a reasonable price by the Great Lakes Boat Building Corp. Milwaukee, Wis. This vessel measures 52' x 11'6", and is guaranteed to cruise day after day at a speed of over 20 M.P.H. There are sleeping accomodations for 6 persons and a crew of 2. When delivered these vessels are furnished complete with table lines, silverware, etc., and at the option of the owner a Victrola may be installed. The motor is an 8-cylinder Sterling engine of 180.200 H.P. chosen for remarkable running qualities, and because even at a high speed there is a noticeable absence of vibration. The motor is all enclosed so that no gasoline fumes escape into the engine room, the enclosure having been worked out in the design of the engine. Elctric starter and electric generator are an intergral part of the engine and all controls are brought to the bridge deck amid ship so that these vessels may be operated by one man. This particuar vessel is owned by Mr. Humphrey Birge of Buffalo, Ny.Y. and carries a crew consisting of an angineer and cook, the pwner preferring to handle the boat himself. Vessels of this type maintain a speed comparable to the average automobile entour. Miss Liberty for instance frequently travels over 200 miles per day on cruises of from 1 to 2000 miles duration. This speed is mainted easily from morning to evening approximately 20 hours, and figures about 20 M.P.H."
